PHYSICS

My name is Anton. 

I hold a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of New Hampshire.

I have more than 10 years of active teaching A level Physics, and have helped over 100 students gain admission to universities in both the UK and the USA.

I am a full time tutor, which means I can offer sessions not only in the evenings but also during the daytime and late evening hours.

I primary teach A-level physics:  OCR,  AQA, and Edexcel exam boards

My approach to teaching is based on a three-fold strategy.

First - THE CONCEPTS.

Most of the students consider physics the most difficult subject they have ever studied. That`s why I apply extra effort to make sure that the student has a proper understanding of the concepts, not just memorizing facts. I easy detect weak spots in students understanding and this gives me chance to focus on the most relevant topics.

Second - INTERACTIVE LESSON.

My goal is to make the students involved in the lesson not just leaving them to listen to me. I use my own interactive simulations built with DESMOS, allowing students to see physical phenomena instead of only imagining them. Believe me, it helps a lot if the student can actually see and play with different physical phenomena instead of just imagining it.

Third - PRACTICE:

Some of my lesson will be dedicated to solving problems from past papers. I might either solve the problems by myself or monitor the student solving approach. I will explain some tricks and perhaps show you more efficient solutions. My observation is that if the student goal is to achieve an A grade it requires at least one hours of tutoring per week throughout the academic year, though some choose more. In any case, it will give me great pleasure to help you improve your knowledge and make you feel the beauty of PHYSICS.
